May Contain Ingredients

Confusing labeling on packages both annoys and amuses me.

We were slackers this Halloween so grabbed these “ambiguous chunk cookies,” as we kept calling them, on the way to our friends’ place. It cracks me up that the allergens are definite but the rest of the ingredients are maybes—I’m sure it’s some generic label technicality, but still! How is the average person going to get it? This is, of course, assuming that the aforementioned “average person” would actually read the label in the first place. Also, despite the “keep refrigerated” clearly stated, these were just hanging out, though I’m sure they were preserved well enough to handle it.

For the record, I’m pretty sure these were white chocolate chunk cookies.  They were only ok—next time I’ll try to plan ahead and make something better.
