Almost done with this research paper on supermarket layout in Florence vs. New York. I’m trying to be confident about it because I do support what I say with both observational and academic research. However, I can’t seem to help the conversational tone that finds its way into even my most formal writing. For better or worse, I am nothing if not myself.

To jog my memory, I’ve been looking at lots of the photos I took in grocery stores during the trip and in New York. It’s a funny kind of nostalgia, reminiscing with yourself about good times in foreign supermarkets, but hey—I love that kind of stuff. I could spend hours…

I just wanted to share a couple amusing favorites. Like ostrich baby food, breakfast cereal, and a fish head (that’s from an NYC store)…What can I say? I wouldn’t be studying nutrition if I didn’t find this stuff fascinating.
