I love living alone and cooking just for myself, but this summer, one thing I had hoped to do more of was cook with/for other people. So far so good.
Case in point: Last night, dinner in Brooklyn involved chicken with mushrooms and spinach in a red wine sauce, arugula salad with lemony dressing, and warm Italian bread with olive oil for dipping. br />

It’s nice to have come so far from the days of jarred marinara and bottled salad dressing.
I was going to say, “what a long, strange trip it’s been,” but then I’d also have to admit to having quoted another Grateful Dead song in my dream last night, and that’s just plain embarrassing. <And now I'm off to brunch at a friend's new restaurant! Have a great day!
