Happy Sunday! Welcome to another Small Collection, a new series I started to help me focus on the things that bring me joy.

First off, Happy Father’s Day “to a Whale of A Dad.” I know we celebrated last Sunday, but I’m still thinking about you today!

1.) Tuesday’s Athleta event was so much fun! Thank you to Athleta for hosting and for all the folks that came out to talk about healthy foods and share some laughs.

2.) Hearing an old college friend on WNYC the other day. Nice surprise! It makes me happy to see my classmates doing cool stuff. We’ve come a long way since using hand soap as shower gel and unironically sitting on the floor, talking deep stuff about life & art and listening to Bob Dylan in the wee hours of the morning. Or at least I like to think we have. I mean, I still listen to the acoustic half of this set when I can’t sleep. At least going to bed at 9 and waking up at 2:30 to toss and turn a while is better than not even attempting sleep until 3:30 on a weeknight.

3.) I helped a dietetic intern friend get hired at the hospital where I work. Yay!

4.) This past week, I submitted a written request for approval from my building to adopt a dog. I’ve been thinking about it for a few years and recently realized it’s finally a good time.  So fingers crossed—it’s hard to say how long the process could take, but I’m excited to have finally put things in motion.

5.) Oh hey—Panera’s working on getting rid of all artificial sweeteners and preservatives. Love them. Also love this picture—want.
