Yesterday was kind of lacking in birthday magic (Thanks, Biochem), but I enjoyed the day anyway. I didn’t do anything special during the day, but it was nice to take it at my own pace for a change. Chris was around, so he  made a really nice lunch after I got back from the gym.

After we got out of our respective night classes, we met at Candle 79 for dinner. I hadn’t been there in about two years, and the food was just as good as I’d remembered.

When I said turning 25 was doing weird things to me, I wasn’t kidding—I sat at the bar while I waited for Chris to arrive, and when the bartender asked if I was over twenty-one, I wasn’t the slightest bit annoyed. That I suddenly feel old enough to appreciate looking young is strange, as is being legitimately thankful that the stress from school hasn’t given me any gray hair (knock on wood). I’m exaggerating slightly, of course, but it’s still weird!

Dinner last night was the perfect, relaxing way to wind down the day. We split an appetizer, a main course, and dessert. It was the perfect amount of food and everything was so well-prepared. I felt very lucky to be sharing it with my favorite fellow Sagittarius.

Here’s to hoping 25 is a great year. My horoscope says all the changes I’ve gone through recently will start making sense soon. I think I can toast to that.
