Good morning and happy Thursday! First off, I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who entered my Larabar giveaway. It was so fun to read about your favorite snacks! I love hearing what you guys are into!

Congrats, Cayanne! Send your mailing address and contact information to info(at)jessicacordingnutrition(dot)com and I’ll get that sent out to you!*

Here’s some other stuff that’s up this week:

*Winter-like temps in NYC totally foiled my plans for smoothie breakfast experiments this past week, but I did come up with a new oatmeal one for you guys—that’ll be up on Monday.

*I love how the second you stop looking for something, there it is, staring you in the face. That happened to me with the ever-elusive lavender kombucha the other day.

*Though I love the tartness of kombucha and start every morning with a cup of warm water with lemon, I’m not really on board with people drinking vinegar as a weight loss tool. I recently spoke with Glamour about this trend and some other ways to include vinegar in your day.

*I’ve also heard a lot of people talk about using coconut oil as a weight loss supplement, but again—not sold. There are lots of reasons I do love coconut oil, though. I’ll be sharing a few—and a recipe—tomorrow!

*So, remember when I mentioned I dropped my keys down an elevator shaft? I finally got them back. Interestingly, my apartment keys were ok, but the ones to the office spaces I rarely used were banged up beyond use. Go figure.

What’s up in your corner of the world this week? Are there any diet trends you love or loathe? Have you ever dropped your keys anywhere ridiculous?

This post has been part of another Running with Spoons Thinking Out Loud link party, where randomness is the name of the game. Thanks to Amanda for hosting.

*If I don’t hear from the first winner, I’ll select a new one next week.
