New moon madness around here. On the one hand, I’ve had a very productive day, but on the other, it’s been something of a rollercoaster—doors and windows opening and closing all over the place, if you know what I mean. Change is good, though, and I managed to take care of a lot of things I’ve been meaning to cross off my list for some time. Sanity is the word of the day. And by “word,” I mean “goal.”

Something not on the list but immensely satisfying: Emergency Manicure.

Tonight will involve some more work and planning. At least dinner is made—the other night I tested a recipe for escarole with garlic and hot pepper, and it came out fantastically! Served with whole wheat pasta, beans, and roasted broccoli, it’s the perfect cold-weather dish.

I also want to share with you a really interesting article I read today. Check out Mark Bittman‘s Opinionator post, “A Food Manifesto for the Future” for his thoughts on how we can make food “healthier, saner, more productive, less damaging and more enduring.”

Have a good night!
