Good morning! Happy Monday! I’m off to a my first day in a week-long Research rotation. My body might be a little tired, but my brain feels recharged after enjoy a sort of lazy Sunday.

Though few dietetic internship programs offer any payment or health insurance, I can’t help thinking it would be nice to receive a sleep hygiene stipend. I don’t even want to think about how much I’ve spent on melatonin, dyphenhydramine, and lavender over the past 11 months!

Sunday morning, I woke up a little before 4 a.m. for no reason. After 2 hours, I just gave in and got up, figuring I’d just pretend I was having a normal day. And eventually take a nap. So yeah…after a workout, weird-savory breakfast happened.

I also lost the better part of my morning to Season 7 of How I Met Your Mother on Netflix. I eventually rallied enough to meet a classmate for coffee so we could chat about intern graduation stuff, but wow. I felt like I had jet-lag or something.

Sleeplessness is totally awesome (not) when you’re trying to stay well, but hey, at least I don’t have to be in until 9 a.m. all week! Small blessings, people, small blessings.
