One really fun part of my work as a dietitian and writer is collaborating with food companies to create recipes and content centered around healthy nutrition for real people. It’s important to me that the corporations and individuals I work with have visions that align with my own.
One company I’ve been really proud to work with over the last few years is Stonyfield Organic. I grew up eating their yogurt (even if the other kids at school thought my mom was a weird hippie for not wanting us to eat the food-dyed stuff on TV) and really admire the company’s commitment to educating people about organic dairy farming. Their mission, “healthy people, healthy food, healthy planet and healthy business” sums it up nicely.
I was so excited to find out that they recently became a certified B Corporation! You can read all about this certification here, but the short version:”B Corps are for-profit companies certified by the nonprofit B Lab to meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.”
