Happy Thursday. Today’s the day we do the randomness thing. So, shall we?

1.) First off, gratuitous dog picture: Eli kitchen

It was so great to see Eli this past weekend. Since he burst on the scene last year, there has been so much more laughter in my life. He is such a sweet, silly, little weirdo.

2.) It’s been a while since I rambled about music on here, but lately, I just can’t stop listening to Wilco’s “What Light.”

3.) I’ve been putting Netflix on a lot in the background when I’m at home lately. I’ve found myself oddly glued to the series Grace and Frankie. Basically, two ladies find out their husbands want to run off with each other. The whole family gets involved. Hilarity ensues.

4.) Though my love life feels like a Joni Mitchell song (“Cactus Tree,” specifically), I know lots of people humming a very different tune. With everyone putting a ring on it these days, this infographic on the science of a happy relationship seems like it could be pertinent. Happy trails, kids.

5.) Without going into it, I’ll just say that my stress levels have been like whoa lately—mostly your garden-variety fear of the unknown, paired with a salt-rimmed glass of Let It Be, but still. This Waynes World quote basically sums up how I feel about everyone’s favorite stress hormone, cortisol. If coristol was an ice cream flavor, it would definitely be pralines and d***.

6.) In food-things news, I’ve been digging savory oats this week. It’s basically this recipe. I like to cook in some egg whites for extra protein, which also makes it really fluffy. I especially love to add leftover roasted veggies, a sprinkle of goat cheese, and either avocado, tahini or Trader Joe’s tahini sauce if I have some. I swear, there must be crack in that stuff. savory oats

…and that’s all she wrote for today.

What’s on your mind today? Any favorite songs or TV shows lately? Favorite breakfast?

This post has been part of another Running with Spoons Thinking Out Loud link party, where randomness is the name of the game. Thanks to Amanda for hosting.
