Happy Thursday. It’s time for our weekly randomness link-up post. So, let’s get into it. On my mind today:

*This study on champagne consumption and memory. Tasty alcoholic beverages as a vehicle for memory-preserving phenolic compounds? Yes, please. Of course, moderation matters. To reap the benefits without the headache (literally and figuratively speaking), researchers encourage one to two glasses a week.

*I bought a red lipstick from the Covergirl Star Wars line. I had to. It’s everything I’d hoped for and more.Star Wars lipstick

*I have eaten so much salmon (smoked, baked, seared…) in the past week that I need a break to cleanse my palate. Watch, though—next week I’ll be back to craving salmon again. After a short smoothie jag, I enjoyed some pumpkin cranberry this week, which was great for those dreary mornings. pumpkin oatmeal rainy morning

*I’m so clumsy in the kitchen (especially with heat), my dermatologist wrote me a prescription for Silvadene cream to have on hand for those pesky burns. silvadene cream

*Good news about children’s cereal.

*I kind of hate the phrase “clean eating.” It kind of makes me want to crawl into a hole and curl up in the fetal position until the monsters go away. I’m all for healthful, minimally processed food, but I don’t like labels, and I don’t like the food-shaming side to “clean” eating. This Real Mom Nutrition post made me happy to see I’m not the only one who has trouble with the term.

Are you clumsy in the kitchen? What are your first-aid must-haves? Are you a Star Wars fan?
This post has been part of another Running with Spoons Thinking Out Loud link party, where randomness is the name of the game. Thanks to Amanda for hosting.
