Last night, I met up with my sister downtown for a little sushi and shopping.

If you ever find yourself in the west village and craving sushi, check out Soho Sushi. The food is great, and the servers are so nice! We shared a few rolls: a naruto roll with salmon, tuna, avocado and mango; a “winter roll” that had tuna, cucumber, avocado, scallop and “caviar”; and a “vegetable dragon roll,” which had sweet potato, asparagus, avocado, and a few other veggies.

We’re not really “fashion people,” but we decided to hit up a few stores participating in this year’s Fashion’s Night Out. It was quite the scene, walking down Broadway, but eventually, we arrived at our first destination, Madewell.

I tried on a few things and fell in love with this rust-colored cardigan, which I’m planning to wear over a black dress and a skinny red belt at Chris’ sister’s wedding (part 1) this weekend. It’s hard to tell from this silly picture, but it looks great with this necklace I found in the J. Crew kids’ section.

I also have a tan vintage handbag from the Hells Kitchen Flea Market packed, and will be wearing my black mary-janes, though maybe with nude fishnets instead of black tights. Need to run to the store and see what I can find…

We’re leaving tonight, and the ceremony is tomorrow afternoon. It should be fun, though I’ve been warned about a scripted sing-a-long to this song…However, I have a feeling it will be in the style of this version. I wonder which part I’ll have to sing. Sorry, no video will be taken to document the epic-ness. You’ll just have to imagine the hilarity ; )

What are you up to this weekend?
