Congrats—we made it through the first week of 2017. I’m finally starting to feel like I’m in the groove of this new year. Last week it just seemed to take me forever to get back into a feeling of routine. I was going through the motions of all the things I had to do, places I had to be, but my mind felt so scattered. Mercury Retrograde certainly didn’t help. After our five-plus years together, my coffee maker decided it wasn’t in love with me anymore. And I got holes in my brand-new tights. First world problems, but still. Le sigh.

I thought that being an adult meant magically not having holes in your socks and tights anymore. Guess I was wrong.

Luckily, by the time I wrapped up on Friday, I finally felt in sync with the calendar, at least, if still down a coffee maker.

For this week’s “what I ate” post, I’m sharing a look at Friday, which was a much-needed catch-up day. I went to yoga to an early yoga class because going to my office. ;

Breakfast: I made Savory oatmeal, and had a small cup before heading to yoga, and then having the rest after. I topped my with leftover mushrooms, along with babbaganoush, tahini, and goat cheese

It was a writing/meeting day, so I headed to my office space after breakfast and enjoyed a productive rest of the morning.

For lunch, I packed a salad that had arugula, leftover veggies (roasted brussels, romesco, butternut squash, and pepper), lamb sausage I was trying to get rid of.

Snacks: A couple clementines, Greek yogurt with ground flax through the afternoon.

Dinner: Leftover gnocchi chicken soup from the batch I’d made the day before.

Bedtime snack: Banana with peanut butter
