After dealing with a scratchy throat, mild aches and what may have been a low-grade fever yesterday, I woke up feeling like myself on Wednesday morning. Phew. I’d been worried I wouldn’t have any voice for my client project presentation in class tonight.

Do you find that your eating changes when you’re under the weather? I’ve noticed I tend to have less of an appetite and need to eat smaller meals more frequently. Yesterday, I think I ate, like, 8 times. Not a huge change from the usual 5 or 6, but hey…

Just to play it safe, I tried to take it a little easier than I normally would on a Wednesday morning, enjoying a nice yoga session in the comfort of my own bedroom.

like so.

I think endorphins make me a little silly sometimes. I’m still giggling/rolling my eyes over Women Struggling to Drink Water, so when I found myself accidentally spilling water on my leg, I couldn’t help getting into the parody spirit.

"I'm so intimidated by this big, bad glass of water..."

"Ima drink you, b!tch!"

"OMG hydration is sooo complicated!"

"Finally. Tic-tac-toe. I win again."

I was glad to have my appetite back. Photographing random apples, pieces of toast, and green drinks would have gotten tedious. Unfortunately, during lunch, I think I lost a filling. Whoops. I would be that person who loses a filling eating kale. It’s actually kind of funny. Good thing I’m not afraid of the dentist—I’m getting it checked out tomorrow. My own awesomeness astounds me sometimes, it really does.

I had to stick to soft food for the rest of the day, but it wasn’t that big a deal. Just another Wednesday in the life.

Breakfast: Oats with flax, pumpkin and 1/2 a banana; topped with peanut butter and granola

Lunch: Veggies (kale, eggplant, broccoli) topped with a Trader Joe’s masala burger; ezekiel English muffin with hummus and tomato

Snack: Greek yogurt with pumpkin, flax, a spoonful of granola, and a drizzle of maple syrup

Dinner: Split pea soup; sweet potato with goat cheese
Snack: A version of this
