Last Thursdays I went out to the suburbs to hang with my dad and the fur children. Doing the reverse commute at an off-peak hour usually makes for a smooth, speedy trip, and it’s a great way to fit in quality time.

Because my iPad mini  (and the nifty bluetooth keyboard case I found on Amazon) is so light, I’m still able to get work done without having to lug my laptop. In all honesty, sometimes being out of my own space actually makes it easier for me to write and brainstorm because I’m not distracted by random chores that suddenly HAVE to be done.

Getting to chill with this classy gentleman totally sweetens the deal too.

For today’s What I Ate Wednesday post, here’s a look at what I ate through the day.

what-I-Ate-Wednesday#361

Breakfast: bone broth before Pilates; post-workout breakfast salad
Lunch: Salad with salmon from a local restaurant
Snack: Plain Greek yogurt with a mix of flax & chia seeds, cinnamon, and a drizzle of maple syrup
Dinner: zoodles with kale, roasted broccoli, leftover chicken, and avocado (was trying to use it up)
Dessert: tea and a square of dark chocolate

Does a change of scenery ever help you work better?
