Hope you’re having a great week. Because I was going to be traveling to NOLA for an event this week I made sure I spent some time with my family over the weekend. It was a short but sweet trip. After a morning of clearing some work off my plate and going to Pilates, I got there around noon and then we enjoyed lunch out, ran errands, and did some  cooking and catching up. It was also nice to take the dog out for a nice walk.

Here’s what I ate last Saturday.

WIAW364

Breakfast: I’m still doing this breakfast salad once or twice a week. I’ll get sick of it eventually.
Snack: Leftover veggies with a sprinkle of Parmesan after Pilates do I wouldn’t get too hangry on the trip to the suburbs.
Lunch: Salad at a restaurant near my family. It was one of their Saturday specials and had mixed greens, tomato, red onion, fennel, and feta with salmon.
Snack: 2% plain Greek yogurt with cinnamon, chia seeds, and a drizzle of maple syrup.
Dinner: slow cooker pork & carrots , roasted Brussels sprouts, spinach ; bourbon to drink

I fell asleep reading pretty early, which I really needed. I’ve been burning the candle at lots of ends recently so any chance to reach argue I’ll take.

What do you like to do when you’re with your family?
